Mr. Richard Jones, the Head Investor Relations and Corporate Communications, Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited (IVL) demonstrated the creation of goods from recycled plastic in “Do it yourself” (DIY) style in “The assembly of world-care people in Din Dang community” fair. The aim of this fair is to encourage the trash sorting and to provide people in Din Dang community the idea for profession and income gaining. In the fair, there was the demonstration of goods creation, using recycled plastics.

Richard Jones, Head of IR and Corporate Communications, Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited (IVL) gathered with teachers, students of Ban Nong Fab school, Rayong and journalistes, smiles proudly that a one year old Waste Recycle Bank project initiated by TPT Petrochemicals Public Company Limited, a subsidiary unit of IVL has taken a central role in reducing waste in the community. As much as 11,118 kilograms of waste has generated income of around Baht 40,012 for the students.

21 October 2011 - Mrs. Suchitra Lohia, director and chairwoman of the CSR committee of Indorama Ventures PCL and executives donated food and other necessities to over 1,500 people including employees and villagers whose homes have affected by the floods during the visit to Lopburi on October 20.
The donation included life jackets and funds to help those who are suffering. “IVL is part of the Lopburi community and we want to contribute to their well-being until they are through this crisis” said Mrs. Lohia.




On 16 October, 2011, IRPL, led by Khun P.C. Gupta, and TPT, led by Khun Sunil Fotedar, donated items to help flood victims. Together with employees and families they packed disaster relief bags at Royal Thai Naval Air Division, Ban Chang, Rayong Province. This voluntary activity of employees and families showed how sincere and sympathetic they are toward those who are currently suffering from one of the worst floods in Thai history. The items consisted of rice, instant food, flashlights, and other necessary items for daily survival in flooded areas. The management and employees and families together with other volunteers completed a target of making 5,000 disaster relief bags ready for being transported to flood victims in many provinces by the navy.

Bangkok, Thailand - 15 September 2011 representatives from Indorama Ventures PCL.presented H.E. Yingluck Shinawatra, the Prime Minister of Thailand, with a donation of one million Baht for The Prime Minister‘s Office to use in aiding flood victims around Thailand. The picture shows H.E. Bangkok, Thailand - 8 September 2011 IVL companies in Rayong IPI-R, IRPL and TPT in cooperation with Bangkok Breast Cancer Support Group (BBCS) held a “Breast Cancer Training Session” for female employees and the wives of staff. The session educated women to raise their awareness of breast cancer and gave basic instruction on how to conduct self-examination. Nurses from a local hospital also attended. Every participant was also examined by a nurse. Indorama Ventures donated 55,000 Baht to assist BBCS purchase a fusion pump. PT Indorama Ventures Indonesia (IVI), led by Mr.Shin Yong Sig, Senior Vice President (7th from right) donated white board, text books, uniforms, school bags, writing books and cleaning equipment to SDN III Cihuni School under the program “IVI Edu Care”. The students give a drawing as their thanks to IVI. The drawing is called "Aku Cinta Indorama " (I love Indorama).

Representatives of CSR-DIW from IRH teaching the women’s club of Bang Yi Nang Community how to make Camphor Fancy Dolls. The purpose is to help the women’s club earn extra money between agricultural seasons.

IPI-N, IPI-R and IRPL together held a training course on “Indorama We Care Community safety” . The purpose was to educate villagers about the rules and regulations and drive safety. The representatives from IPI-N and IRPL staff also joined the training and all are enjoyed it.

IRPL cooperated with NPC Safety & Environmental Service Company to hold a basic fire training for employees to develop fire fighting skill and use fire equipment to protect against fire.

On 25 June 2011 IPI-N and IPI-R concerned about the problem of natural resources and environment, arranged a family day by taking employees and their family to plant the Mangroves at the Mangrove Forest Resource Development Center 1. On that day we planted 500 Mangroves followed by lunch and a visit “Tong –Bai” fruit garden.

On June 18, 2011 Indorama Holdings Ltd. arranged the CSR project “English class” to teach English to children in Khok Salut Community. For this occasion the expat wives and IVL staff are volunteer to teach and arrange free lunch for children. The teaching program is arranged every Saturday (3 months) from 9:00-11:30 a.m. till September at Wat Klong Mao School.

The Mangosteen were in over supply in Rayong market and the price was going down. IVL companies in Rayong IPI-R, IRPL and TPT, supported the fruit famers by boying 2,000 kgs of Mangosteen and distributing all to staff. In the picture Mr.Fotedar and TPT staff help to distribute Mangosteen.

Indorama Holdings Rotterdam supported a new building for school in Bodopoda India and replaced all old desktop computers with new computers. The old computers were given to an organization that recycles computer/printer components and an amount of €2239 was received. Indorama Rotterdam decided to donate this amount to the SAC foundation (Stichting Actie Calcutta).

The employees of AlphaPet contributed a sum of approx US 1900 towards the American Red Cross to relieve tornado victims in the community. The management contributed twice this amount and the total sum of US 5,500 was presented to the American Red Cross by Mr. Bill Weaver (HR and Safety manager) and Ms. Valerie Coates (Accounts Supervisor) middle.

IRPL together with all other plants in (AIE) jointly organized the AIE Open House activity 2011. This is the first time of mutual agreement and joint effort among all plants in AIE.The purpose is show the transparency of business and help local villagers to understand the business operations, production and good safety and health management and environment management.

TPT‘s CSR team continued to arrange training on the “Waste Recycle Bank Project“ to provide knowleadge to students at Baan Nong Fab School. This project can reduce waste, keep the community clean and help student to have extra money to support their education.

IRH held a CSR - DIW 2011 ceremony on May 19, 2011 in front of the Production Building. Guests
from Ban Bang Yi Nang (Community), Khok Salut Municipal District & Management System Certification Institute (Masci) attended the ceremony and provided knowledge of CSR-DIW to management and employees at training center.

Every 3rd week of each month a group representating Asia Pet (Thailand) led by Mrs. Dhivya Chandrasekar and Mrs. Shubhalaxmi G Narkar,donated rice, snacks and milk to Wat Thum Tako school. The schools have 120 children. The purpose is to support food & lunch for children for 1 month

On July 29, 2011 officials from Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) and representatives from communities in Map Ta Phut paid an audit visit to Indorama Petrochem Limited (IRPL) to conduct the 2nd quarterly audit. The audit result showed that IRPL again this time obtained "Excellent" ratings in all topics under the "Pollution Reduction and Mitigation Plan" of the IEAT. The evaluation fell into different categories, including water management; waste management; Air/ Noise management; VOCs, Nox, SO2, green areas inside plant and working conditions; support to communities; performance of the pollution reduction plan and the accuracy of relevant data and actions following the advice of the EIA Committee.

On 20 July 2011, Indorama Petrochem Limited, represented by Dr. Nop Siwasitchai, Vice President (Human Resources & Admin.), was awarded the Best Manufacturer Award for Safety, Occupational Health and Working Conditions (National Level) 2011. The award was presented by Ms. Amporn Nitisiri, Director-General of the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Ministry of Labour, during Eastern Region Safety Week 2011 at the Tawarawadi Hotel, Prachinburi Province. This is the first time that the company joined the program and winning this national level award is a good reflection on our company.

April 12, 2011 Indorama Ventures and subsidiary company donated money 569,530 baht to M.R. Piyangsri Watanakun, Assistant Secretary-General of the Thai Red Cross to support Thai Red Cross for helping flooding in South of Thailand.

Four companies in the Indorama Ventures (IVL) group have been awarded CSR-DIW Standard Certification by the Department of Industrial Works of Thailand’s Ministry of Industry. Four company are TPT Petrochemicals Public Co. Ltd, Indorama Petrochem Limited and Indorama Polyester Industries Public Co. Ltd., in Rayong and Indorama Polyester Industries Public Co., Ltd., in Nakhon Pathom. The certification, which is seen as the first step to acquiring ISO 26000. The awards were presented at the Grand Four Wings Convention Hotel in Bangkok.

Lopburi – 3 December 2010 - Indorama Holdings Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Indorama Ventures Limited (IVL), recently donated the books to Samorkorn Wittayakarn School in Lopburi.
This initiative is part of 3D Library project which aims to provide access to quality books at schools and encourage children to love reading. Over 385 books and bookshelves were sent to the school on December 3, 2010.

Indorama Polyester Industries PCL to cooperation with Nakhon Chaisri Police station, Village Heads and the public to donate clothing, foods, drinking water and supplies necessary to help peoples who got affected by flooding at Moo1-7, Sainoi Sub-district, Bangban district, Ayutthaya Province on November 3, 2010.

About 45 IPI Rayong volunteer staff joined with the local Muslim Community to repair the community mosque on October 2, 2010. This activity is one part of the CSR activities conducted by IPI for the benefit of the surrounding community.

Map Ta Phut School received the kind support of Mrs. Sapna Arora and Mrs. Rashmi Raturi to teach two different level classes arranged by IPI. The teaching program is every Saturday starting from 9:00-11:30am. About 45 children in Map Ta Phut Community participated. IPI’s PR team arranged for all facilities used by the class.

TPT Pcl, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Indorama Ventures, released 1.71 million Babylonia snails, crabs and shrimps on October 21, 2010 at Nong Fab small boat fishery as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) and to support the Nong Fab Small Boat Fishery Group to increase the amount of aquatic life and cerate sustainable growth for both community and industry. Mr. Sunil Fotedar from TPT, Mr. PC. Gupta from Indorama Petrochem, Mr. Arora from Indorama Polyester industry, Mr. Veerasin Kunuprathum from the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare and Sommai Juntago, abbot of Wat Nong Fab, joined in the activity.
